video editing ??

what all is involved in posting video from my camera to my puter?

do i need special software,
i know NOTHING about video editing

point me in the right direction please !

do you have the right cable to connect your camera to your PC? I dont remember the correct name but some place like Best Buy should have one. Just hook it up just like you would a digital camera. If your using Windows XP on your PC then it has built in software that will allow you to edit your film....its nothing fancy but it gets the job done

this is what I had to get for my camera.....not sure what kind you have so the plug might be different....its just a cable that connects your camera to a USB port on your PC. Hope this helps

thanks i was trying to use the puter at work and it is outdated and didnt recognize my digital signal. im going to try it at home and see if it works there. if not ill be back to this thread
