Midwest wheelin......

So who actually wheels in the midwest? (Mall parking blocks don't count )

Starting this thread as a place to discuss some dates/events. I know a couple of guys that might be interested in a few of them.

A few on my tentative schedule:

Nov 30th: Washita

Feb 28th: Hog Wild Shootout at SMORR

Memorial Day: SMORR

July: Zookimelt

Wanting to head back over to Attica sometime in the spring. Thinking maybe April?

REALLY wanting to hit up Clayton, OK but need to get a bit more info on the area. (Camping amenities, etc.)

If it materializes to anything definitive let me know. Spring & Attica is as far as I've got towards planning that one.

Midwestern wheeling

Attica is a fun place to wheel, except for the getting there part.

Starting out in Eastern Missouri - like you would - would make it even more enjoyable!

Green acres have water? (At least a hydrant)

SMORR is nice. HWS I imagine is going to be bumper to bumper, & tough to get around. I just want to see the bouncers, & it's a park I know well enough to be able to get around the crowds. I'm committed to that one even if I have to take the DD Tacoma.

I wanted to work a CO trip in next year, but not looking likely at this point.

In about 2 years Wisconsin may have a park, until then it's probably Gilbert, Dresser and maybe Attica for us.

There is also this place in north central IL:

http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com/

Went there in August. It's smaller and the terrain is much tighter than Attica. Not as much variety either but it's still a fun place to go. There are some nasty mud holes if you're into that.

Spot in rig or in camp? In rig, sure, as long as you fit in a preemie seat Camp, probably, I think I've got one of the big site in the center, quite a bit of room there.

Is attica that much fun to wheel at? I used to ride dirtbikes there and it didnt seem like there was very much to do there wheeling wise.

Quarry is awesome, "dunes" are fun for a while, decent woods trails. Just something for everyone really.

For us that wheel together in the Kansas City area, our regular wheeling places are...

Tuttle Creek (Manhattan, KS)...we always do Memorial Weekend there, and occasionally another time during the year.
Kansas Rocks (south of Mapleton, KS)...we usually make it down there 3 or 4 weekends a year.
Disney, OK...we usually make it down there once a year, usually around, or over, Labor Day weekend.

it is exactly an insurance requirement . I can not have or allow pit bulls on my property , wouldn't anyway but the insurance company made damn sure I wouldn't.
