It'd be nice to meet some of you guys up there. Zuk or not, doesn't bother me at all. Will it work for you guys to meet mid morning and head out as a group?

Got some new shoes and alignment is happening today at 2 pm. OUCH! $570 for 2 tires mounted and sipped.
I think I will go and camp out Fri Night up the trail a bit by the first water crossing if it is available. The site with the tree stump chairs.
I talked to a guy yesterday who went up last weekend and was told it is rougher than he has ever seen it and a Rubicon broke just trying to get past the first "obstacle" just past the gate! Must be a Jeep thing! LOL. He said the Jeep guy had a heavy skinny pedal foot. Again a Jeep thing?
I don't ever recall even needing 4 wheel drive on that trail till you turn to go to Kelly Flats and that was because the conditions were slick.
Went up a few weeks ago but it was closed.

Motor is like a banshee once again engine breaking so I will bring up the rear. Sorry Andy but it looks like I wore the rings out of your motor. I am taking it up to Saratoga this weekend for my son's 21st B-Day and my 56th which is tomorrow. We are a day apart. I think he is crazy wanting to spend his 21st with me but am flattered. THey put in a new pool that is temp controlled, finished it this month and it is really nice. They also completely remodeled the bathrooms too.

Kb, good to hear about the new shoes (other than the cost!)

I ran the trail a few weeks ago. It is rougher than I remember and it was a blast.

Might have to camp up there with ya...

I will no doubt camp up there fri night and maybe do the crash site before meeting up with you all at the trail head. I need to look at my diff first for a checkup. Been many miles since I opened it up. It feels a bit loose.
Took off the 5X12 Breeze links yesterday and replaced them with 5" C/C 3/8" shackles. Road manors improved when I rock the boat at speed. Lost 6" on the ramp.

Worked on the rear end.
Got rid of the Breeze Drop Links and made some HD shackles.
Upper shock mount needed attention and was loose.
Side cover bolts on the carrier were all loose and one was really hanging out as much as it could. Took the hole rear end completely apart and went through it. The Pinion adjustment was fine.
Made AL seal protectors for the housing ends. NICE!!!! IT can be used to pull the seal out with too. I won't have to worry about damaging the seal ever again even when hanging the axle out the housing end.
I had a cracked brake shoe so I put on new brakes.
My diff inspection cover was leaking so that got repaired with new special gear oil sealant.
No wear at all in any parts of the cable locker so that was good news.
All cleaned up and put back together and tested it late last night.

I still plan on camping up there Fri night. My boys got me a camp oven/2 burner stove top. Kind of big for the Sammy and the rest of my gear. It will be a challenge to be able to get to use it but sure was a great thought. I think that was the first real gift they have ever gave me. 21 yrs so it is about time.
