Never ran this trail so im not exactly sure how to get there. Looked it up on Trail Damage just not sure which is faster from Den. Ran carnage before they closed it with ken and joe backwards during winter. (ping pongin off rocks an trees wee!) Snow wheeled with Andy once north of Empire. Thats my extent of wheelin wit zk guys. Anyhow, if someone could give me some firm directions it would be greatly appreciated!

Take Highway 7 west from Lyons approximately 12 miles or Highway 7 south from Estes Park about 18 miles to Highway 72. Turn south on 72 and travel approximately 4 miles to Peaceful Valley Campground. Camp penis is one mile west of Peaceful Valley.
The trail head is at the west end of Camp dong.

That was a great time. Thanks to all who came out. Next things I need: tires, YJ springs, and some gearing. Oh and maybe a rear axle, I gained a little noise and vibration at some point today. Also, thanks Bill for leading the group.

Your tires are fine. And honestly, do drivetrain before yj.

How hard are these T-cases to pull apart?

Simple. Can do most of it without a press if you have the skill. Sometimes they require the press though. I have one in my garage. But. I also have a 4.9 with snatch cradle for sale. 7208792203.

I have been thinking about your 4.9 but the money is pretty tight for me. Everything I do is on a restricted budget.

The 4.1 to 1 is in a t-case ready to go. I think it came out of my mini buggy.
For you, $400.00 and you can keep your stock t-case.

Great time! Camped 45 mins, up MSV on Fri. Met group at trail head in the morn. Turned around at the upper Coney Creek crossing and came back down with Brian. We stopped and fished and he landed 2 in my pool at the MSV/Coney creek crossing
Camped up at Camp Penis after work last night and did MSV with F Cups. We didn't get too far up. Maybe a bit over a mile. She just can't hold herself together for all those melon rocks no matter how slow I went.
Great night anyway and made it to work by 6:30 no problem. Less than 1 hour to my shop from there.
Going camping up Chicago Creek tonight. Saratoga Fri night.
Sammy is working awesome so I have been getting to more dirt trails.

Bill, that sounds like a good deal to me. I don't have $400 right now though. If I can get our Jeep sold I may be able to do something. I just need that gone so I can repay some big prior obligations. I will let you know for sure though because I think that would help me out quite a bit from what you all were saying.

As for axles, I think Justin (quadracer) has some that I am going to try and work off of him.

Does anyone have a straight stock rear axle I can get cheap? I don't need the third.

Thanks David, now you have me looking for that matched ring and pinion so I can bolt those in and be 5.12 geared.
